Welcome to Engineers Make It Happen.
Engineering is vital to the economy and society at large.
'Engineers Make It Happen' is a campaign to inspire future engineers and, and help Further Education engineering students gain a better understanding of engineering careers, and the opportunities they bring.
Run in partnership with local businesses, colleges and lecturers, policy makers, professional engineering organisations and education, skills and careers organisations such as Semta, the Engineers Make it Happen Campaign aims to help generate enough skilled engineers and technicians to meet business and industry’s needs.
The campaign does this in the following ways:
- Supporting and training college lecturers to inspire their engineering students
- Offering practical placements and activities to give students a realistic experience of engineering careers.
- Demonstrating how and why students should stick at their courses, and take up careers in engineering
- Providing inspirational engineering speakers to show college students the huge diversity of careers on offer in engineering
- Providing inspirational branding and marketing materials in support of engineering careers
