Motivational Speakers
Picked by a panel of experts and trained by one of Europe’s top public speakers, the Visiting Lecturers provide free presentations to further education engineering students and attend school careers fairs, to inspire and inform students about engineering careers. Disciplines represented range from electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering to snowboard design, supersonic car aerodynamics and space robotics.
In 2008/09 the Visiting Lecturers spoke to over 1600 students across Southern England, Wales and Northern Ireland and briefed over 200 careers advisors and teachers. Comments from host lecturers and teachers confirmed that lectures had been professionally delivered, and a number of repeat bookings occurred. In fact 70% of students believed they were even more inspired about engineering careers as a result of the lecture, and 89% rated the lectures as excellent.
